tips for overcoming cravings

1. Understand the positive and especially, the negative influences for cravings 2. Identify when the cravings occur and then plan your way out of the times you crave 3. change your negtive/addictive thoughts just as soon as they begin; change to psitive uplifting thoughts 4. change your surroundings and environment. If you have a sexual addiction to pornogeraphy, don't surf the Internet for stimulation; close your computer and do something more constructive, take a walk, go exercise, call a friend, etc. 5. play the tape forward; wwhat will the outcome of my addiction create (loos of loved ones, loss of self, loss of employment etc.) 6.Take each day a day at a time. Make self comittments each morning and congratulate yourself each evening that you did not yield to your addiction 7. Get physical exercise daily, especially if you have felt depressed for a length of time 8. Ride the wave of cravings knowing that it will not last forever
